The Oktoberfest in Munich is one of the greatest festivals in the world and a great opportunity for travel photography with all the sights and spectacle of mass crowds, endless juggs of beer and mountains of food everywhere. The Oktoberfest attracts people from all over the world and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly but the crowds can seem overwhelming - especially at weekends. This photograph was taken on a Kodak P880 digital camera with a professional wide angle Schneider zoom lens in side one of the many tents at the Oktoberfest. The Oktoberfest for 2009 starts on the 19th September and ends on the 4th October 2009. Just remember to bring your dirndls and lederhosen.
