Polaroid unveils its i1032 digital camera

Polaroid has entered the 10 megapixel arena with its new i1032 digital camera. Many people had assumed that the race towards higher megapixel cameras was temporarily over as manufacturers concentrated on improving other digital camera features and minimising negative issues such as noise and slow shutter lag. However a recent spate of 10 megapixel cameras proves otherwise.

The Polaroid i1032 digital camera has the usual array of features in addition to its 10 megapixel sensor and is aimed at the entry level user. These include:

Autofocus & exposure
2.4" LCD
VGA 640 x 480 movie mode
32mb of internal memory
Support for SD (secure digital) memory cards
2 x AA batteries
Jpeg, MPEG4, AVI & WAV support

The i1032 will cost around $300.
