Panasonic announce 6 megapixel Lumix DMC-FX3 digital camera

In the last of its' four announcements for today, Panasonic have announced the Lumix DMC-FX3 digital camera for the budget conscious. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX3 digital camera offers the standard Leica 35 - 105mm (35mm equiv) F2.8 - F5.6 DC Vario-Elmarit zoom lens, 6 megapixel CCD, 2.5" LCD, MEGA optical image stabiliser, ISO 1600 in high sensitivity mode and the less powerful Venus Engine Plus LSI. The DMC-FX3 is also compatible with SD, SDHC and MMC memory cards and is compact in size at only 94.1 x 51.1 x 24.2mm. There is no manual mode for creative control but the DMC-FX3 does offer a wide variety of scene modes from portrait to night scenery. Although many of the features on DMC-FX3 have been reduced in relation to Panasonic's higher end models, the movie mode still offers a respectable widescreen 848 x 480 30 fps at its' maximum size setting. 4:3 VGA movies at 30 fps is also present. Finally the DMC-FX3 comes with a meagre 13.5mb of built in memory.
