Travel Photography: Monkey on Phra Nang Beach in Krabi, Thailand.
Shot of the Month - October 2008

This photograph of a monkey enjoying a bite to eat on the beautiful Phra Nang beach in Thailand was taken on a Kodak P880 digital camera with a professional Schneider 24 to 140 (35mm equiv.) zoom lens. Phra Nang beach lies in the Krabi region of Thailand and is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Unfortunately everyone knows about the beach and the crowds invariably ruin the picture perfect beach. There were quite a few monkeys in one part of the beach and like children, they instantly knew when to move their heads to spoil a photograph. Patience finally paid off and I was able to take some photographs in the end.
