Casio unveils new DivX Certified EXILIM EX-S770D digital camera.
The first certified DivX camera to be released by Casio was their EX-S600D. Following on from this, the EX-S770D provides a few additional features such as a 7.2 megapixel sensor and a widescreen video format for shooting high quality movies in 16:9 ratio.
So what is DivX? Well, DivX is a popular video compression technology which can compress most forms of video so that it becomes small enough for transmitting across the internet with only a minimal loss in quality. DivX is appearing on more and more products including camcorders, DVD players and high definition television. The Casio EX-S770D will be able to share its video content with any DivX compatible player.
The Casio EXILIM EX-S770D is very small and slim camera in Casio's card size tradition with a large LCD for easy viewing.
The Casio EX-S770D will no doubt prove to be a very popular digital camera especially as users of the camera can share their video content with any of the 50 million DivX certified devices sold worldwide over recent years.
