Nikon 10.2 megapixel digital SLR camera to be announced on August 9th

Nikon has placed a teaser on its' website promising a new 10.2 digital SLR camera which will be announced on August 9th 2006. Few details are known at present about the new digital SLR but most likely it will be an upgrade to Nikon's highly successful D70 and D70s digital SLRs. The teaser does state that the new Nikon digital SLR will be aimed at photography enthusiasts and will be affordable. This may be a response to any camera buyer contemplating buying the new Sony Alpha a100 digital SLR camera. The teaser also states that the new digital SLR camera will offer more power, more control and more versatility than previous Nikon digital SLR cameras. Click here to see the teaser.
