Kodak announces the super fast Easyshare P712 digital camera.

Kodak has announced the Easyshare P712 which boasts a super fast shutter lag of only 1/10th of a second (0.07 seconds) from click to capture. In addition, the Easyshare P712 offers 7.1 megapixels, a hotshoe, an optically stabilised 12x Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon zoom lens, 2.5" LCD and MPEG4 VGA movies. Shooting modes available include full manual control, shutter priority, aperture priority and program mode. The Easyshare P712 supports raw, tiff and jpeg image file formats.

The Kodak Easyshare P712 will be available worldwide from July 2006 for a suggested retail price of $499.
