Travel Photography: Tokyo Skyline
Shot of the Month - June 2010

Tokyo is the largest city in the world with a huge population larger than many countries. The city swells during the day as workers from outside the city commute into the Tokyo metropolis to work. Although the crowds on the Japanese Railway system are intolerable, trains and other transport run efficiently. The city was heavily bombed in the world war II but was rapidly rebuilt including many Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines. The city is an amazing place for travel photography with the huge crowds, neon lights, city skyscrapers and historical or religious buildings lying next to modern structures. This shot of the Tokyo skyline as shot on a Kodak P880 digital camera with Schneider lens and processed in Adobe Photoshop CS3 to saturate the colors.
