A timeless shot of Unawatuna beach in Sri Lanka at sunset. The shot breaks the rule of thirds by having the horizon almost in the center of the picture but the photograph carries it off with its' sheer simplicity and balance between sky and sea. The photograph was taken with a Panasonic Lumic DMC-LX1 digital camera which is unique in having a wide angle 8 megapixel CCD coupled with a superb Leica DC Vario-Elmarit zoom lens equivalent to 28 - 112mm in 35mm format.
