Travel Photography: Torii gate to a temple in Hiroshima, Japan
This digital photograph was taken from a low angle with the 24mm setting (35mm equivalent) on a Schneider zoom lens on a Kodak P880 camera with an ISO setting of 50. The low angle together with the stark contrast between the white of the Torii gate against the deep blue sky adds impact. The strong physical lines of the Torii gate and the powerful figure of the lion in the foreground adds further visual impact. Japan is an incredible place for photography as well as having the biggest photographic shops in the world with floor after floor of digital cameras and accessories.
